Tim Robertson is the founder of this company and lets just focus a little on the history and how Robertson Wine Tours came about:

Tim was introduced to fine wines in 1988 when he worked for Sakagura Wine and Liquor, part of the Intercontinental Group in Hong Kong. Tim was responsible for selling their collection of Bordeaux wines and other top quality new World wines, probably the best collection in Asia at that time. He never quite recovered from tasting the very best at early age of 18. However, he went on to complete his studies in Economics and Business. Unable to find a suitably well-paid job in wine in London and so embarked on a career in finance. He kept his love of wine throughout his City Career working for Fidelity Investments, Schroder’s and Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) predominantly focusing on Latin American emerging markets, both risk management and fixed income sales. He left finance in 1998 to refocus on finding a project involving his love – Wine.

Tim inaugurated Robertson Wine Tours (RWT) in 2003 in South America and the company has grown organically over the years. There was never any doubt Italy and Europe would be in our sights and in 2010 we have an operating base and are an Italian Srl.

Over the Years we have been recommended by Frommer’s, Lonely Planet, TimeOut, Bradt guides, Condé Nast Travel, LAN inflight magazine,  amongst others. Apart from our small website our business in generally conducted on referrals, and by our reputation. We have had the pleasure to work with Lufthansa, Jetsetter, Secret Escapes.
